Abstract: 

IN SPITE OF DIFFERENT CONTROL METHODS, WEEDS EVEN ARE A PERMANENT DANGER IN CROP PRODUCTION. IN ORDER TO EVALUATE DIFFERENT AGRONOMY AND CHEMICAL FACTORS ON POTATO YIELD AND THEIR TUBER SIZE FIELD STUDY WITH A RANDOMIZED COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WERE CONDUCTED ON A VILLAGE IN ARDABIL IN 2009. THE TREATMENTS WERE: 1- WEED FREE CHECK 2- WEEDY CHECK 3- METRIBUZIN (STANDARD) 4- TRANSPARENT POLYETHYLENE 5- BLACK POLYETHYLENE 6- CULTIVATOR 7- TRIFLURALIN 8- TRANSPARENT POLYETHYLENE+TRIFLURALIN 9-BLACK POLYETHYLENE+TRIFLURALIN 10- CULTIVATOR+TRIFLURALIN. RESULTS SHOWED THAT BLACK POLYETHYLENE+TRIFLURALIN HAD MAXIMUM AND METRIBUZINE HAD MINIMUM YIELD. THE MOST SMALL, MIDDLE AND LARGE TUBERS WERE PRODUCED IN TIRFLURALIN, BLACK POLYETHYLENE AND CULTIVATOR RESPECTIVELY.
