Abstract: 

TO STUDY THE EFFECT OF INTEGRATED WEED CONTROL, ON HERBICIDE REDUCTION, PRODUCTION CASTS AND TUBER YIELD OF POTATO, AN EXPERIMENT WAS CONDUCTED IN AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCE RESEARCH CENTER OF HAMEDAN.THIS STUDY WAS CARRIED OUT IN A STRIP PLOT EXPERIMENT BASED ON A RANDOMIZED COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WITH 3 REPLICATIONS. HERBICIDE APPLICATION WAS THE MAIN FACTOR IN 3 LEVELS (BANDED SPRAYING, COMPLETE SPRAYING AND WITHOUT HERBICIDE) AND HARROWING WAS THE SUB FACTOR IN 5 LEVELS (SQUARE - TURN KNIFE, CURVED- BED, HIGH-CROWN SWEEP, FURROWER AND WITHOUT HARROWING). IN THIS STUDY, THE INFLUENCE OF HERBICIDE SPRAYING METHOD, TILLAGE FACTORS AND THEIR INTERACTIONS ON THE ABOVE MENTIONED CHARACTERS WAS STUDIED. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT HERBICIDE SPRAYING METHOD HAD A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON TOTAL TUBER WEIGHT OF POTATO, IN THIS CASE USING BAND SPRAYING METHOD WAS PREFERRED TO THE COMPLETE METHOD, MOREOVER, IT DECREASED HERBICIDE USAGE ABOUT 67%. SO, IT IS IMPORTANT IN DECREASING PRODUCTION CASTS AND SIDE EFFECT ON ENVIRONMENT. THE MEAN COMPARISON SHOWED THAT SQUARE - TURN KNIFE BLADE PREFERRED TO OTHER TREATMENTS AND SPECIALLY IT INCREASED TOTAL TUBER YIELD UP TO 43% IN COMPARISON WITH THE TREATMENT WITHOUT TILLAGE. INTERACTIONS BETWEEN SPRAYING METHOD AND TILLAGE FACTORS SHOWED THAT BAND SPRAYING TREATMENT WITH SQUARE-TURN KNIFE BLADE WAS PREFERRED TO OTHER TREATMENTS AND CAUSED ABOUT 57% INCREASING IN TUBER YIELD. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE TREATMENTS WAS SIGNIFICANT AT 1% LEVEL.
