Abstract: 

PRESENCE OF WEEDS AND CROPS TOGETHER IN AGRO ECOSYSTEMS REQUIRES THE MUCH ATTENTION IN THE SELECTION OF AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES. THIS EXPERIMENT CONDUCED IN 2008 TO DETERMINE NITROGEN REQUIREMENT TO TAKE MAXIMUM WINTER WHEAT YIELD WITH WEED INTERFERENCE AT AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SITE IN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF MOHAGHEGH ARDABILI. THE EXPERIMENT WAS LAID OUT AS SPLIT-PLOT IN RANDOMIZED COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WITH THREE REPLICATIONS. THE TREATMENTS CONSISTED OF THREE NITROGEN LEVELS: [0 (CONTROL), 150 & 300 KGNHA-1] AND DURATION OF WEED INTERFERENCE [INTERFERENCE DURING ALL SEASON GROWTH (T150), INTERFERENCE FOR 50 DAYS AFTER APRIL (T50) AND WEED CONTROL (T50)]. ANALYSIS SHOWN THAT NITROGEN APPLICATION HAD NO A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS BUT DURATION OF WEED INTERFERENCE HAD A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON YIELD AND NUMBER SPIKE. INTERACTION EFFECTS BETWEEN NITROGEN AND WEED INTERFERENCE ON YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS WERE NOT SIGNIFICANCE, BUT MEAN COMPARE OF NUMBER SPIKE, NUMBER GRAIN PER SPIKE AND YIELD SHOWN THAT THERE ARE SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN TREATMENTS. THESE RESULTS INDICATE THAT UNDER WEED CONTROL, WITH INCREASING NITROGEN LEVEL WHEAT YIELD INCREASED. BUT IN PRESENCE OF WEEDS WHEAT YIELD, NUMBER SPIKE AND NUMBER GRAIN PER SPIKE DECREASED WHEN APPLIED 300 KGNHA-1.
