Abstract: 

IN ORDER TO STUDY EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT DENSITIES OF WILD OAT (AVENA LUDOVICIANA L.) AND DIFFERENT NITROGEN LEVELS, AN EXPERIMENT WAS CONDUCTED IN 2008-09 IN THE RESEARCH FARM OF ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY OF AHVAZ. THE EXPERIMENT WAS PERFORMED IN SPLIT – PLOT BASED ON RANDOMIZED COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WITH THREE REPLICATIONS IN ADDITIVE SERIES. MAIN PLOTS RECEIVED NITROGEN FERTILIZER IN THREE LEVELS (90, 150, 210 KG PER HECTARE) AND SUB –PLOTS INCLUDED WILD OAT AT FOUR DENSITIES (0, 25, 50, 75 PLANTS/M2). THE RESULTS OF THIS EXPERIMENT SHOWED THAT WITH INCREASING NITROGEN, DRY MATER ACCUMULATION (DMA) INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY. BUT AROUND 95 DAYS AFTER EMERGENCE, 150 KG TREATMENT NITROGEN SHOWED SUPERIORITY TO 210 KG TREATMENT NITROGEN. THIS EVENT INDICATED INCREASING DAMAGE OF WILD OAT IN HIGH RATE OF NITROGEN AFTER THIS STAGE. INCREASING NITROGEN LED A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN NITROGEN USE EFFICIENCY (R=-0.88**). BUT NITROGEN LEVELS HAD SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON INCREASING CHLOROPHYLL CONCENTRATION (R=0.75**).
