Abstract: 

WEED PRESENCE INSIDE AND AROUND AGRICULTURAL LANDS CAUSE ENORMOUS LOSS ON QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF CROPS. SEVERAL METHODS WERE SUGGESTED TO CONTROL WEEDS. ONE OF THESE METHODES IS TO APPLY ALLELOPATHIC COVER CROPS FOR WEED MANAGEMENT PROGRAM. TO STUDY ALLELOPATHIC EFFECT OF BARLEY, RYE AND CANOLA ON WEED SUPPRESSION AN EXPERIMENT WAS PERFORMED A RANDOMIZED COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WITH FOUR REPLICATIONS AT HAMEDAN AGRICULTURE RESEARCH CENTER. TREATMENTS WAS INCLUDING TWO CONTROLS WITH AND WITHOUT HERBICED APPLICATION, RAY, BARLEY AND CANOLA (TWO COMMON AND THREE FOLD DENSITIES).ACCORDING TO THE RESULTS CANOLA WITH TRIPLE DENSITY AND RYE WITH COMMON PLANT DENSITY PRODUCED MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM OF TOTAL DRY MATTER COVER CROP RESPECTIVELY, BUT RYE WITH TRIPLE DENSITY AND BARLEY WITH COMMON PLANT DENSITY HAD THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM OF DRY WEIGHT OF WEEDS RESPECTIVELY. ACCORDING TO THIS RESEARCH, CANOLA WITH TRIPLE DENSITY PRODUCED MAXIMUM DRY MATTER THAT COULD IMPROVE ORGANIC MATTER AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SOIL, HOWEVER, COMPARING WITH OTHER TREATMENTS HADN’T A CONSIDERABLE EFFECT ON WEED CONTROL. THROUGH TO THE RESULTS, ALTHOUGH RYE WITH TRIPLE DENSITY PRODUCED THE HIGHEST DRY MATTER OF COVER CROP AFTER CANOLA, IT COULD BE RECOMMENDED BE RECOMMENDED FOR CONTROLLING OF WEEDS IN CROPS.
