Abstract:

IN ORDER TO DETECT THE REASON OF ZIZYPHUS SPINA CHRISTI DEJECTION, SAMPLING WAS DONE FROM 30 CONTAMINATED TREES IN 50 HECTARES OF GANU JUNGLE. SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED FROM DAMAGED PARTS OF TREES THAT WERE NOT CONTAMINATED BY FUNGI AND BACTERIA. TO INVATIGATE SPECIES, PLANT CHARACTERS WERE DETERMINED BY USING SCIENTIFIC AVAILABLE REFERENCES. THE SPECIES WAS (COCCULUS PENDULUS) THAT IN SOUTH OF IRAN IT IS NAMED ZAMOUR OR EESHAK AS LOCAL NAME. C. PENDULUS DISTURBED THE HOST TREE THROUGH SHADING, TWISTING ASCENDING STEM AROUND BRANCHES SO THAT AVOIDED DIAGONAL GROWTH ESPECIALLY IN YOUNG BRANCHES THAT CAUSED PHYSIOLOGIC WEAKNESS OF LOTUS TREE AND FINALLY DEJECTION.
