Abstract: 

THE FIRST STEP TO TAKE PRINCIPLED METHODS TO CONTROL WEEDS IS IDENTIFICATION, STUDY THE RELATIVE IMPORTANCE, DENSITY AND DISCLOSING THEIR BIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS. CONSIDERING THE DIVERSITY OF WEEDS IN DRY FARMING WHEAT FIELDS OF PROVINCE, THIS PROJECT WAS PERFORMED DURING 4 YEARS (2005-2008) TO NOTICE EXISTENCE OF SPECIFIC WEEDS IN DRY FARMING WHEAT FIELDS WITH DETERMINING FREQUENCY, UNIFORMITY AND DENSITY OF WEEDS IN ALL TOWNSHIPS OF PROVINCE (19 TOWNSHIPS). BASED ON DRY FARMING AREA OF EACH TOWNSHIP. TOTALLY 161 FIELDS WAS SELECTED IN RANDOM AND SYSTEMATIC SAMPLING METHOD AND ACCORDING TO W PATTERN WITH QUADRATES 0.5 M BY 0.5 M AND WEEDS OF QUADRATES WAS COUNTED AND IDENTIFIED. DUE TO STUDY THIS REGIONS 137 SPECIES OF WEEDS CONSIST OF 101 GENUS AND 28 FAMILY WERE DETERMINED. THE GREAT FAMILY ABOUT SPECIES NUMBERS IS COMPOSITAE WITH 22 SPECIES, BRASSICACEAE WITH 19 SPECIES, FABACEAE WITH 14 SPECIES AND BORAGINACEAE WITH 11 SPECIES RESPECTIVELY. MORE THAN 94% OF WEED SPECIES IN PROVINCE ARE DICOTYLEDON AND THE REST OF THEM ARE MONOCOTYLEDON. 24% OF SPECIES ARE PERENNIAL AND 75.9% OF THEM ARE ANNUAL OR BIENNIAL. MORE THAN 60% OF SPECIES ARE MEDICINAL PLANT.
