Abstract: 

THE MAIN GOAL OF THIS ARTICLE IS THE STUDY OF ROLE OF BIO-ENVIRONMENTAL AND GEOMORPHIC AGENTS IN SITE SELECTION OF SOLID WASTES. WITH THE ADVANTAGES OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY AND REMOTE SENSING TECHNIQUES THIS THESIS HAS PAID ATTENTION TO OPTIMUM SITE SELECTION FOR URBAN WASTE DISPOSAL.
AT FIRST STAGE, OPERATIVE FACTORS WERE CONSIDERED IN SITE SELECTION DISPOSAL PLACE AND FINALLY BY DIGITIZING AND WEIGHTING LAYER 13 WERE BASED ON EXISTING STANDARDS. THESE STANDARDS INCLUDE: SLOPE, EROSION, LAND INSTABILITY, FAULT, SURFACE WATER, GROUNDWATER WELLS, PROTECTED AREA, AIRPORT, VEGETATION LINES, POWER LINES, AND DISTANCE FROM CITY AND POPULATION CENTERS. AT THE LATER STAGE, THE ABOVE LAYER WAS ENTERED EDRISI AND ARC GIS SOFTWARE AND SPECIFIC DATABASE FORMATION WAS PREPARED MULTI CRITERIA DECISION MODELS SUCH AS ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS AND WEIGHTED LINEAR COMBINATION WERE THEN RESULTS INDICATED THAT TWO METHODS ARE FIRST SECTION IN THE SOUTH OF SAQQEZ, INTRODUCING FOUR PLACES IN FIRST AND A FINAL LOCATION FOR DISPOSAL. FINALLY, THE OVERLAP AND ENSEMBLE OF THESE MODELS AND SUBSCRIPTION IN ARC GIS ENVIRONMENT, A FINAL LANDFILL SITE WAS INTRODUCED HAVING AN AREA OF 74 HA WHICH IS SUSCEPTIBLE FOR ACCEPTING ABOUT 130 TONS OF WASTE PER DAY FOR 20 YEARS.
