Abstract: 

GAS HYDRATE IS ICE LIKE SUBSTANCES FORMED THROUGH CONTACTING WITH WATER AND GAS IN HIGH PRESSURE AND LOW TEMPERATURE CONDITION. IT MAINLLY INCLUDES OF 2 CUBIC STRUCTURE TYPES. GAS HYDRATE HAS BEEN STUDIED BECAUSE OF THEIR FUEL POTENTIAL AND PROBABILITY DRILLING HAZARDS. THEY ARE FORMED IN POLAR AND SUBSEA DEPOSITIONS. GAS HYDRATE IS RECOGNISED WITH ANORMAL VELOCITY ON SEISMIC PROFILES. CASPIAN SEA IS ONE OF THE IMPORTANT PLACE IN THE WORLD WHICH HAS SIGNIFICANT RESOURCE OF GAS HYDRATE. THE CONDITION OF SOUTHERN CASPIAN SEA IS FAVORITE FOR GAS HYDRATE FORMATION SUCH AS DEPTH, LOW TEMPRATURE, NATURAL GAS SOURCES AND LOW GEOTHERMAL GRADIENT. GAS HYDRATE ACCUMULATIONS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH MUD VOLCANICS WHICH IDENTIFIED IN SEABED. THE GAS ANALYSIS SHOWED IT CONTANS OF HIGH METHANE AND ETHANE, THERFORE IT HAS THERMOGENIC SOURCE RATHER THAN BIOGENIC.
