Abstract: 

THE PHENOMENON OF GAS HYDRATE FORMATION IN GAS STREAMS IS ONE OF THE MAJOR PROBLEMS IN OIL AND GAS INDUSTRIES THAT CAUSE TO INCREASE ANNUAL COST AND CHANGE PROCESS VARIATION, ESPECIALLY IN DOWNSTREAM UNITS. THE CONSEQUENE OF HYDRATE CAN REDUCE EQUIPMENT’S EFFICIENCY, INCREASE ENERGY, INHIBITOR CONSUMPTION AND STREAMS DIFFERENCE PRESSURE ,WHICH ARE DIRECTLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRODUCTION. THIS ARTICLE WILL INVESTIGATE HYDRATE FORMATION EFFECT ON GAS MAIN STREAMS AND IT'S IMPACT ON COMPACT EXCHANGER (COLD BOX) IN 9 & 10 PHASES OF SOUTH PARS GAS COMPLEX. IN THIS ARTICLE IMPACT ON REDUCING HEAT TRANSFER EFFICIENCY AND THE PROPER SEPARATION OF GASEOUS COMPONENTS WERE ANALYZED AND WERE PRESENTED THE NECESSARY STRATEGIES TO PREVENT COLD BOX COMPACT EXCHANGER PROBLEMS.
