Abstract: 

Iranian Drug and Poison Information Center (DPIC), which were established in February 1997, founded undersecretary of Food and Drug, ministry of health.
This center provides pharmacological and toxicological data about drugs and poisons through phone calls. These calls classified into many different classes: adverse drug reaction (ADR), dosage and administration, Pregnancy/Lactation, drug evaluation, drug interaction, toxicology, poisoning and others. As ADR and poisoning questions are the two first and most important requests, many case reports have been prepare to inform health care professions and to notify them in this field. A 12 years old female who called to DPIC, suffered from generalized boils, which has been signed after taking Neotigason capsules. Another case was a 23 years old woman who complains from nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, paraesthesia, jaundice and icter after taking Indomethacin capsules for 3 days. Trientine, the alkaline component, which is used in color painting industries, cause poisoning in chronic exposure, it’s mostly effect is at respiratory systems. There are some established reports about the poisoned cases with this substance in industry. By these cases reporting, we evaluate the drugs’ adverse effect and the probability of exposure problems to the poisons in our environment. This will give clear points to compare drugs and chemicals in Iranian population
