Abstract: 

INTRODUCTION: A BOUT FEMALE SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION DUE TO SOCIO–ECONOMIC LIMITATION WE HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE AND LITERATURE.
COMMUNITY HEALTH IS IN CORRELATION WITH FAMILY HEALTH THIS ARTICLE IS PILOT STUDY OF EVALUATION OF FSD IN IRAN.
METHODOLOGY: THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDY CONDUCTED IN A REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLE OF THE POPULATION OF WOMAN AGE RANGE 20-58 YEARS IN IRNA. AFTER SATISFACTION TAKING THEY FILL QUESTIONNAIRE ABOUT: AGE EDUCATION OCCUPATION-SEX DESIRE-PROBLEM DURING INTERCOURSE- SATISFACTION AFTER INTERCOURSE- NUMBER OF INTERCOURSE PER MO-MEDICAL PROBLEM–PSYCHIATRIC PROBLEM AND USE OF DRUGES.
RESULTS: THIS ARTICLE IS RESULTS OF 124 QUESTIONNAIRES FROM THE GRAND TOTAL OF 500 QUESTIONNAIRES
- THE AVERAGE NO OF INTERCOURSE PER MONTH 6.4 (RANGE 1-28 NO/MO)
- AGE (RANGE 20-57). THE AVERAGE NO OF INTERCOURSE/MO IN AGE GROUP 20-35 YEARS WAS 7.26 AND ABOVE 35 YEARS OLD WAS 5.24.9
- 21.7% OF THE SAMPLE HAD DEFICIT SEX DESIRE AND 10% HAD VERY LITTLE SEX DESIRE.
- SATISFACTION AFTER INTERCOURSE: 41.4% ALWAYS–48% HAD LESS THAN HALF AND 10.6% NEVER HAD SATISFACTION.
- 14.2% OF THE FEMALE WITH DYSFUNCTION CONSULTED A DOCTOR FOR TAKING A THERAPY.
- AVERAGE NO OF INTERCOURSE/ME IN EDUCATED (AFTER HIGH SCHOOL) WOMEN WAS 4.43.4 AND UNEDUCATED WOMEN WAS 76.3.
- 58.3% FROM ALL WOMEN AND 100% OF WOMEN WHO HADN’T SATISFACTION FROM SEXUAL LIFE SUFFERED FROM FAMILY AND MARITAL PROBLEM IN DIFFERENT DEGREE.
- BETWEEN DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY WITH SEX DESIRE WE HAVEN’T SIGNIFICANT RELATIONSHIP.
CONCLUSION: IN OUR STUDY THE OVERALL PREVALENCE OF SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION WAS 31.7% ALSO 58.6% OF THEM HAD LESS THAN HALF OR NEVER SATISFACTION AFTER INTERCOURSE ABOUT 100% OF THIS GROUP SUFFERED FROM DIFFERENT DEGREE OF FAMILY OR MARITAL PROBLEM. BUT ONLY 14.2% DEMANDED FOR THERAPY.
OVERALL RESULT: FEMALE SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION IS PREVALENT IN IRAN AND MANY OF THEM HAVE FAMILY OR MARITAL PROBLEMS. BUT ONLY 14.2% CONSULTED A DOCTOR FOR TAKING A THERAPY.
WE STRESSED THE NECESSITY OF INFORMATION FOR TRAINING OF IRANIAN HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS IN DIAGNOSIS AND TREATING THIS ILLNESS TO ALLOW THESE WOMEN TO HAVE A SATISFYING SEXUAL LIFE AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LEFT IN GENERAL.
