Abstract: 

ABDOMINOSCROTAL HYDROCELE (ASH) IS A FORM OF NONCOMMUNICATING HYDROCELE WITH A RETROPERITONEAL COMPONENT IN ABDOMEN. ASH IS A RARE CLINICAL ENTITY IN CHILDREN. THE MOST COMMON PRESENTATION IS WITH A LARGE SCROTAL COMPONENT. UNUSUAL PRESENTATIONS LIKE LOWER EXTREMITY EDEMA(1) AND PRE-OR POSTNATAL ABDOMINAL MASS HAS BEEN REPORTED(2) . WE PRESENT THREE CASES OF ASH ADMITTED TO DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRIC SURGERY OF DR. SHEIKH HOSPITAL FROM SEPT. 2000 TO MARCH 2003. TWO OF THESE CASES HAD INTERESTING FINDINGS NOT REPORTED BEFORE.
