Abstract:

PURPOSE: SUCCESS RATE AND RECURRENCE RATE WITH THERE COMMON THERAPY IN ENURESIS INCLUDING IMIPERAMINE DESMOPRESS IN AND CONDITIONING EVALUATED.
M & M: WITH SCREENING OF 7 TO 11 YEARS OLD CHILDREN IN GORGAN CITY SCHOOLS, 84 ENURETIC CHILD FOUND.
PATIENTS DEVIDED RANDOMLY TO THREE GROUPS.
THE FIRST GROUP RECEIVED 25 MG OF IMIPERAMINE EVERY NIGHT.
THE SECOND GROUP WERE TREATED WITH 20 MG OF DESMOPRESSIN INTRENASALLY EVERY NIGHT.
THE THIRD GROUP USED ALARM FOR CONDITIONING EVERY NIGHT.
ALL GROUPS TREATED ONE MONTH AND TWO WEEKS WITHOUT ENURESIS A MEANED SUCCESS.
RESULTS: ALL PHYSICAL FINDING AND LABORATORY TESTED WERE NORMAL IN ALL PATIENTS (FBS, URINE ANALYSIS AND KIDNEY AND BLADDER SONOGRAPHY). PATIENTS HAD IN AVERAGE 8.5 YEARS OLD %77.3 OF CASES WERE BOYS AND %22.7 GIRLS.

SUCCESS RATE FOR THERAPY WAS %71.4, %60 AND %50 IN THREE GROUPS. RECURRENCE RATE 6 MONTHS AFTER THERAPY WAS %10, %55.5 AND %25 RESPECTIVELY.
DISCUSS AND CONCLUSION: IMIPERAMINE PERSISTS AS CHEEP, AVAILABLE, WELL TOLERATED AND EFFECTIVE WAY OF TREATING ENURETIC PATIENTS. DUE TO HIGH RECURRENCE RATE DESMOPRESSING IS JUST ACCEPTES AS AN TEMPORARY TREATMENT.
