Abstract: 

A new approach is proposed to solve the project scheduling problem under fuzzy environment. The idea is to apply a combination of linear programming formulation and Zadeh`s extension principle. Activities duration is assumed to follow L-R fuzzy numbers. ALP model is developed to calculate the earliest events time. The membership functions of earliest times of events are derived by calculating lower and upper bounds of earliest times in different a-cuts of fuzzy durations. Finally, an example with activities duration following L-R fuzzy numbers is presented to indicate the efficiency of the proposed approach.
