Abstract: 

In Iran as a developing country, using energy sources like the coal same as oil has special significance. For this reason that investigations in the case of stability of microtunnles for example mine tunnels specially in coal mines, using modern methods has performed fewer in Iran, for increasing mining performance improvement and optimization of the support system in mining excavations, as one of the most important parameters, gallery #2 of Hojedk coal mine has been selected and firstly investigated in this paper. Statistical analysis of field data of discontinuities performed by DIPS has been mentioned. Then the design of support system has been performed by empirical methods (RMR & Q), Convergence-Confinement method and numerical analysis (FLAC & PHASES). Consequently economical analysis for comparing the proposed plane and performed plane, has been conducted, calculation has been show the current mine operation system is not economical and also show that with using the proposed  support system, about 1.15 milliards RLS will be save for each one kilometer of tunnel.
