Aggregates are the most common and the cheapest materials for construction purposes. Now a day; alluvial are the main resources for providing construction aggregates. However, the shortage of alluvial resources and also environmental consequences of alluvial excavating, has drown the attentions to producing aggregates from rock resources.
In this paper geotechnical characteristics of limestone and ignimbrite in Qom formation are evaluated in order to replace them as a new source for producing aggregates.
