Abstract: 

Method: this experimental-interference study was conducted on 70 female rats in 7 groups by 10 rats. Group 1 was considered as sham operation. Ovariectomy was carried out in 1st day and administration treatment begun in 11th day and finally, sampling and measurement were down in 31st day. Treatment hormone level:
Group 2- Ovariectomy + drug solvent (control)
Group 3- Ovariectomy + estrogen
Groups 4, 5, 6 and 7 were ovariectomized and by receiving estrogen 50... They obtained different levels of progesterone incrementally from half of base level until two times base level.
Introduction: Sex hormones, especially estrogen effect on metabolic mechanisms. Change in this hormone concentration level in sex cycles and hormone therapy shift estrogen target systems output. The aim of this research is to study the level of effect on blood cholesterol. Daily single administration was carried out subcutaneously then sampling and measurement were conducted 20 days after treatment.
Findings: administration only estrogen increase cholesterol level meaningfully relative to control group. By addition progesterone in concentration of half base level, cholesterol level reduce meaningfully relative to group estrogen and it is near to control group, increase in progesterone concentration in groups 5, 6 and 7 the level of decrease equal to group 4.
Conclusions: estrogen increase blood cholesterol level. Addition progesterone in different levels in the same dose reduces estrogen effect meaningfully.
