Abstract: 

Introduction: The Diabets is one of the health problems of this century in the world. The patient not only suffers from the main disease also they suffer from other complication related to diabetes which includes, heart disease, kidney, and blindness, Psychiatric & hearing problem. A large number of this patient realizes about their problem at late stage of sickness. In this study we determined the prevalence of diabetes side effect in order to relative prevention of these complication.
Material & methods: In this descriptive study we gathered demographic and clinical data from 280 diabetic patient record files. The data analyzed by spss program.
Results: The findings show that the diabetic patients had the following complications respectively, 60.4% neurological complication, 9.6% cardiac complication, 6.1% vascular complication, 13.6% ophthalmic complication, 3.9% renal complication, 3.9% diabetic foot complication. Also the findings show that the diabetic foot and ophthalmic complications were related to triglyceride level (P<0.1) also the neurological and ophthalmic complications were higher in noneducated pationts and patients that had higher level FBS (P<0.163) (P<0.146) Also the results show that the patients with neurological and cardiovascular complications had higher systolic and diastolic blood pressure (P<0.165).
Conclusion: The patients should control blood suger and diet to reduce complications. Educational program about blood suger and insulin regulation-diet and physical activity are recommended.
