Abstract: 

Objective & background: grape and the other part of its was tested so far and the results was published. Antibacterial effect of grape seed on some of tested bacteries was demonstrated. purpose of this research was to achieve the antibacterial effect of grape seed on the other bacteries, due to results, effect of grape seed extract can use as preservative in food products, drugs.
Materials & methods: bacterial strains s. aureus, b. cereus, p. aeruginosa and k. pneumonia were used. Extraction method was termal with soxhelet and ethyl acetate, methanol, water solvents. evaluation ofantibacterial effect was done with cup plate method and determination of mic, mbc was done with macro dilution.
Results: in 1%, 2%, 4%, 20% concentration of extract, best effect was indicated on p.aeruginosa with 5.58 mm average of diameter of inhibition zone, although this amount in k.pneumonia, s. aureus, b. cereus were acheiyed 3.83, 3.53, 3.43 mm. mic of p. aeruginosa-k. pneumonia-s. aureus and b.cereus were 6.25-25-25-100 mg/ml and mbc were 12.5-50-50-200 mg/ml.
Discussion & conclusion: acording to results and kind of effective materials for antibacterial effect that the most of them was monomeric phenolic compounds, we can receive better results with change ratio of solvent extraction or kind of them. so grape seed extract can consume in preservatived products.
