Abstract: 

Lead is a ubiquitous environmental toxin that induces a broad range of physiological, biochemical, and behavioral dysfunctions. In the cells lead bind to thiol contain molecules and inhibiting sulfhydryl-dependent enzymes (delta-aminolevulinate dehydratase activity), and increasing susceptibility of cells to oxidative. It is plausible that impaired oxidant/antioxidant balance. Therefore the aim of this study is to determine and compare the superoxide dismutase and catalase activities in mine zinc and lead exposed workers with control groups.
This study is a cross-sectional analytical that 67 individuals who worked in in mine zinc and lead exposed as case group with 67 individuals as control group who was the same in terms of age and sex from the review point superoxide dismutase and catalase activity enzymes is comparsined.Activity of enzymes was evaluated by cayman kit.The results were analyzed with the use descriptive analysis (such as mean, deviation standard) and analytic analysis (such as t-test).
Mean and diversion of superoxide dismutase and catalase activity worker´s were in this manner: 0.74±o.45 U/ml,17.11±12.8 nmol/min/mland in control group were in this manner: 0.2 ±0.06, 18.9±9.9.That the activity of superoxide dismutase in case group significant increase in comparison to control group (p=0.00001). That the activity of Catalase in the case group in contrast with control group decrease but this decrease no significant (p=0.5).
