Abstract:

HUMANITY IS ON AN EVER-LASTING QUEST TO UNDERSTAND. WE CONNECT MORE THAN WE CONSTRUCT. OUR EDUCATIONAL SPACES AND STRUCTURES NEED TO BE ALIGNED WITH OUR NEW UNDERSTANDING OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT MOVES, FLOWS, AND BEHAVES. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PAPER IS TO EXAMINE AND ANALYZE THE ROLE OF CONNECTIVISM THEORY IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING SCHOOLS SMART, WHICH IN RECENT YEARS HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY SCHOLARS. THE RESEARCH METHOD WAS A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND THE AUTHORS ANALYZED THE SUBJECT BY CITING LIBRARY RESOURCES AND REPUTABLE DATABASES. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT WE NEED A NEW INSIGHT THAT IS IN HARMONY WITH TODAY’S KNOWLEDGE. THE PREREQUISITE FOR CONTINUED GROWTH AND INNOVATION IS CONNECTION; HENCE, THE CONNECTIVISM THEORY HAS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE GROWING PROCESS OF MAKING SCHOOLS SMART IN OUR COUNTRY.
