Abstract: 

In this paper, propagation of flattened Gaussian beam in optical media is simulated by split step fourier, ABCD transfer matrix, and paraxial group transformation methods and then the results are compared. For this purpose, at first, flattened Gaussian beam, strongly nonlocal nonlinear media and methods for the investigation of optical beams propagation are introduced. Then, propagation of flattened Gaussian beam in free space and strongly nonlocal nonlinear media are simulated by these methods. The results show that the paraxial group method can be considered as a suitable method for investigation of optical beams propagation in optical media.
