Abstract: 

Bone metastases occur when cancer cells extend to bone from another parts of the body like lung, breast and prostate and begin to growth. In this paper, we have extend the mathematical model of bone metastases because of breast cancer. The presented model is given by a system of partial differential equations that characterize the relation between osteoclast, RANKL, OPG, PTHrP, tumor and drug. The purpose of presentation of this model is to find out the best drug therapy for minimizing the tumor size by using optimal control theory. The presentation model (optimal control system) is solved by using PSO algorithm. Simulation results indicate that by using drug, according to optimal administration results for bone metastases treatment, tumor density is decreased toward bone metastases model without using drug.
