THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PSYCHOLOGICAL EMPOWERMENT AND PARTICIPATORY MANAGEMENT OF FEMALE TEACHERS (CASE STUDY)

Abstract: 

This study aims to explain the relationship between psychological empowerment and participatory management of secondary school female teachers of Tabriz. The research method was descriptive correlational. The statistical population consisted of women teachers of secondary schools in Tabriz, who have were working during 90-91. The number of the sample was 285. The measuring instrument consisted of three questionnaires, participatory management, empowerment of staff and mental health. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics were used. At the inferential level, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis was used. After analyzing the data, the results showed that there was a significant relationship between psychological empowerment and participatory management. Among the dimensions of participative management (decision-making, communication, leadership, structure, and control only decision-making was significant and predictor of mental health and empowering employees.
