Abstract:

By collecting relevant studies to the street children of Iran, this study tries to classify and assess the associated family factors and outcomes of children streetization in Iran in recent decade. At the same time, these studies in spite of having a couple of strengths and weaknesses will be helpful in future researches.
A secondary study with a systematic review method is used in this study. By searching Iranian and international databases, many universities and related organizations in Iran, 40 quantitative researches entered the study. Their data were classified and for some of variables with sufficient consistency, the findings underwent the Meta analysis.
A few of street children in their families face with physical, sexual and psychological persecutions and a part of children's families are engaged with addiction, imprisonment and family disruption that show the influence of family factors on streetization of some of children. Furthermore, the cumulative findings related to the economic situation of children and their families; i.e., the 80 percent involvement of children in labor, the expansion of family, high growth of unemployment and low-income jobs, the low income, and education level of parents confirm the relationship between economic conditions and family poverty with entrance of children to the streets either. A combination of economical and unsuitable life conditions in family are among the most salient factors in streetization of children, although, the economic impact is heavier. In addition, the coming of children into street accompanies with physical, psychological, addiction, and crime, however, more research in this area is necessary.
