Abstract:

Introduction: The present study has been carried out in order to determine the efficacy of the solution focused approach in decreasing the tendency for divorce in Isfahanian men and women who are susceptible to divorce. The solution-Focused approach is one of the brief treatment methods which emphasize the subjects’ role in solution finding with the help of a counselor.
Method: It was a quasi experimental study. The research population includes the couples consulting Isfahan’s "crisis intervention” center. The study sample includes 32 couples whom were chosen as the available sample and divided randomly between the experiment and control groups. The research tool is The Rusbult et al (1986) divorce susceptibility questionnaire.
Finding: for analyzing the data not only the descriptive methods have been used but also scatter analyzing was used.
Conclusion: The solution Focused approach is effective for conjugal harmony (p<0.001).
