The goal of Present the study was to examine the relationship between the five main personality factors and job burnout among counselors. One hundred were selected by random cluster sampling from Subjects active in counseling centers in Tehran. Descriptive and correlational methods were used. Two questionnaire were used to Evaluate the variables; including the Maslach Burnout Inventory by Maslach and Jackson (1981), and the NEO- Five factors Inventory (NEO- FFI) developed by Costa & Mc Crae (1992). The results showed that there was a positive correlation between emotional exhaustion and neuroticism. There was a negative correlation between depersonalization and agreeableness. There was a positive correlation between depersonalization and neuroticism. There were negative correlation between lack of personal accomplishment, extraversion and agreeableness. There was a positive correlation between lack of personal accomplishment and neuroticism.
