Abstract:
Human resources are among the influential factors determining the success or failure of a social system. Human resources guarantee the survival and success of a social system. Human resource factor can either waste or preserve physical and non-physical resources. Motivating people is what should be done to meet the aims. Low motivation can be attributed to many factors. Of many factors, we will deal with the nature of the job, organizational milieu, and personal traits and their effects on motivation at work. The study is a cross-sectional research. The population is a group of 66 principals in Bojnord. A sample of 45 was selected. Data were collected using job-motivation questionnaire. Experts’ opinions were sought to confirm the validity of the questionnaire. Its reliability was established through test-retest method. We used SPSS to analyze the results. The results indicate that personal traits are especially influential in increasing motivation. Attachment seeking is also an important motivating factor. The nature of the job and organizational milieu are also contributing factor in motivation.
