Among old traditional heritage of the Islamic world are books written by hadith narrators on supplication. Recognition of gradual evolution of such works is possible only when each of them is recognized, their difference in style of writing is specified, and finally the proof of such differences is expounded on the bases of similarities and variations of their historical appearance. The present study intends to distinguish various methods of formulation of supplication books first, differences of view of their authors in choosing and arranging hadiths of supplication secondly, different factors of appearance of such methods and styles thirdly, and classification of them on the basis of differences observed in the works finally.
