Abstract: 
The use of imagery in Sufis didactic texts is generally either for decoration or for comprehension. Najmuddin Razi has used imagery for both reasons in Mersad al-Ebad, but his main goal is to tangle mystical concepts. To this end, the author has used various techniques, including the use of related metaphorical compound to provide clear and tangible visual clusters to explain predominantly mystical concepts. Having a closer look at the book makes it clear that the author tended to certain image clusters. The purpose of this study is to explain why specific imaginative clusters are repeated in frequent order in Mersad al-Ebad. The research results show that the didactic function of image clusters is shaped by the use of biodiversity-based visualization of the target audience and the appropriateness of themes and images. Najm Razi has used imagery in the areas of Iranian daily life, government, agriculture, travel, education and writing, nature, the story of the prophets, and images of birds, to facilitate the teaching of his mystical subjects. Also, the matching between the imaginative clusters with the subject is his other didactic method. He used images of "travel" to explain the subject of conduct, images of "agriculture" to explain ontology-related concepts, and images related to "education and writing" to express concepts such as adherence to old (teacher) and creation (composition), and he also used "bird and flight" imagery to illustrate the captivity of the human spirit and the need for its return.
