Effectiveness of Localized Play Therapy (LPT) on Parent-Child Interaction Mothers of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Preschool Children

Abstract: 
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Localized Play Therapy (LPT) on the interaction of parents with children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in preschool children. This research method was a quasi-experimental design with a control group. Using phases randomized sampling among mothers in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder preschool centers. Twenty six mothers of Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder were selected. They were randomly placed in 2 groups (experimentation and control groups). Experiment group was presented with LPT for 10 sessions of 90 minute once a week. Instruments were used as following parenting stress and Vanderbilt and Pianta in 3 stages. Data were analyzed using repeated mature design analysis. Results showed that there was significant difference between control and experimental group ( ). Results showed the effectiveness of LPT on childparent interaction of mothers with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It is suggested that this method could remedy impairment of the parents of children with mental health.
