Abstract: 
The aim of this research was to description the talent development environment of youth elite basketball players and its relationship with mental skills. For this purpose, 29 boys who were invited to the youth national team selected through convenience sampling. Data were measured using Talent Development Environment Questionnaire of Martindale and qualleques and OMSAT-3 Mental Skills Questionnaı re and were analyzed using a one sample T-Test and regression. The obtained means of the environment of talent development and mental skills were above average. In addition, Talent Development Environment can be explained mental skills very poor. Poor relationship between Talent Development Environment with mental skills has been explained in various aspects.
