Regarding to the importance of students’ mental health, the current study was an attempt to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness and emotion regulation on high school students’ general health. It was carried out on an experimental basis, and using random assignment, 80 female students from Yasouj city were placed into two experimental groups and one control group. Then, participants in each experimental group took part either in eight-week mindfulness workshop or emotion regulation workshop. One month after the workshops, all the participants of the three groups completed Goldberg & Hillier general health Scale. In addition to analyze the data, statistical methods such as t-test for independent groups, one way ANOVA and Tukey test were performed. The Results revealed higher level of general health for the students in both experimental groups than the students in control group. Moreover, the students in emotion regulation group showed higher level of general health than the students in mindfulness group. With regard to the effectiveness of mindfulness and emotion regulation training on students’ general health, it is assumed that taking part in mindfulness and emotion regulation workshops can improve students’ General health, quality of life, and their academic performance.
