Abstract: 
Use of Four-Quadrant and Lateral Effect Photo detectors are Two Main Methods to Detec of Movable Objects. In This Paper, Design and Simulation of Electronic Circuit of This System is Presented and the Current Time Delay Method is Compared With the Voltage Different Method Which Appears Between the Electrodes of Lateral Effect Position Sensitive Detector. In This Comparison, There are Some Useful Characterizations of Delay Time Method Comparing to the Voltage Difference Method Such as More Linearity in Response, Position Independent from Amplitude and Frequency, Response Independent from Background Light, and Unnecessary Signal Normalization. In Addition, the Time Delay and Voltage Difference Methods are Investigated and Compared for Some Real Lateral Effect Photodetectors.
