Abstract:
fiogf49gjkf0d Among the epic works composed after Shahnameh, Borzunameh looms
large. The violent nature of tragedy and the inevitable determinism pervasive
in the story of Rostam and Sohrab give way to a melodramatic ending in the
story of Borzu. Despite its great standing, Borzunameh suffers a lack of sound
scholarship. The studies done surrounding this work are mainly unscientific,
they are mainly based on a blind acceptance of the views of Jule Mohl and
Blanchet. The present work engages with the untrodden paths in the work.
