Abstract: 

Faculty members are considered the basic elements of universities and higher education centers. They are also executives for the three main missions of universities (education, research and professional services). Paying attention to faculty members is like paying attention to human capitals in higher education. Concentrating on these members will verify our goals. In order to maintain the faculty members, focusing on a development program is one of the most important programs of the university.
This study concentrates on introducing the different aspects of faculty members' development. This goal has been obtained by studying documents and published scientific resources. The results show that for having improved faculty members we need to concentrate on three aspects: professional development, organizational development and individual development.
