Abstract:
1. Hebert Mead. In organized games, Herbert Mead maintains, the child assume rolesand what happens to him in childish competitions is repeated in his future life. While Mead is abundantly clear about the way identity is developed, his explanation of the difference between the concepts of "I" and "me" is unsatisfactoryand vague. 2. Ralph Linton. According to Linton, a role belonging to a specific situation is dynamic. The role and the basis are two sides of a coin. Drawing on his ethnographicstudies, Linton has referred to the difference between acquired and attributivebases. To him, authoritative groups have the competency to confer authorityon others.
