THE EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING ON STUDENT'S ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN THE TOPIC OF ENERGY IN PHYSICS COURSE

Abstract: 

This paper describes the effect of the application of cooperative learning on the topic of energy. Cooperative learning technique was employed to the experimental group and Conventional teaching method was used for the control group. The Sampling group consists of 100 students in first grade of high school in Mashhad city. Levels of Pre- Knowledge acquired by the students were evaluated by means of a Self- developed" Energy Topics Achievement Scale" and the progress was determined by the Same Scale. A clear significant difference, as a Conclusion, was detected in the experimental group indicating the effectiveness of the cooperative learning.
