Abstract:
Epidennal changes including hyperkeratosis and epidermal verrucous changes, papillomatosis, secondary infection, recurrent erysipelas and ulceration are complications of chronic lymphedema. Elephantiasis is a tenn used for these significant changes. Xanthoma may also develop in lymphedematous areas. Lymphangiosarcoma is a rare complication of chronic lymphedema.
Nodular fibrosis is mentioned as a rare complication of lymphedema of legs and only two cases have been reported in the literature. This article presents a case of multiple lesions of nodular fibrosis on both legs after 40 years history of chronic lymphedema.
