Abstract

The present research has been carried out to investigate the relation between MENTAL HEALTH and MENTAL HARDINESS of UNIVERSITY STUDENTS; therefore, 184 students of gynecological and nursing university of Gachsaran were randomly selected and tested by "General Health Questionnaire" and "mental hardiness Questionnaire". The results obtained from the data analysis indicated that MENTAL HEALTH correlates significantly, positively with MENTAL HARDINESS. In contrast, the criteria of MENTAL HEALTH (physical symptoms, disorder in social function and depression) are found to correlate significantly, negatively with subjects' MENTAL HARDINESS. It's worth mentioning that significance level was measured a<0/05.
