Abstract: 

In arid and semiarid areas, soil salinity is a major factor limiting the Agricultural Development and  crops production. In order to study the effect of land use changes on soil salinity and salinity stress effects on yield of major crops, a study based on completely randomized design with three replications was conducted in Qazvin Plain. For this purpose the satellite images of 1987 and 2002 years were used. Then, changes in soil salinity were compared after 15 years And observed soil salinity in irrigated lands of changes in water quality and groundwater surface fall highly increased And extent of saline land in region has increased about 8 percent. four Salinity levels in the four regions as a control were selected, for Evaluate the effect of Increased salinity on yields of  wheat, barley, tomatoes, alfalfa and potatoes In crop years 1366-1365 and 1382-1381 were selected. Results showed that salinity changes had a significant effect on the yield of crops. In both periods, increased salinity reduces crop yields. Generally effect of salinity on the crop yield was significant at the 1% level, causing yield reduction of crops including wheat, barley, alfalfa, potatoes and tomatoes as much as 22, 20, 40, 50 and 27 percent. So land use change and management in recent years has led to soil salinity and this causes is a decrease in yield.
