Abstract:
In order to investigate the effects of wheat stubble treated by Pleurotus sajor-cajo (PSC) edible fungi on fry matter (OM) digestibility, feed intake and animal performance, 36 of Moghani male lambs with 39±3.01 kg initial Live weight at the age of 250±15 days were used in this experiment. The experimentel design was complete randomized blocks with three rations, three replications and four, animal units. The lambs were fed with three isocaleric and isonitrogenous rations containing wheat stubble (UWSR), mycelium POC treated wheat stubble (MWSR) and PSC harvested spent wheat stubble (SWSR). The results showed that the average daily gain and feed intake of the animals which were fed with the UWSR, the MWSR and the SWSR diets were 144.47, 169.55 and 180.75 (gr/day) and 140.69, 165.49 and 175.20 kg per whole period, respectively, (P<0.05). The IVOMO and IVOOM of the UWS, the MWS and the SWS stubbles were 47.46, 48.52, 58.70, 59.14, 49.78 and 46.31, respectively, (P<0.01).
